Buying already ripped jeans can be very expensive and unacceptable 😕. So Hey, here's an idea: Rip your own Jeans😎.
Here are some simple steps that'll guide you through the exciting process of "distressing" your jeans.
1) Get out a pair of jeans that you have selected to perform the surgery on😉. You could purchase new jeans but the old ones are usually better, especially light-colored and faded jeans as you can achieve a more distressed look with these.
2) Of course you're gonna need tools, d'uh. Get your blade or pair of scissors out (for clean rips) or sandpaper/a pumice stone for a more distressed look.
3) Mark the section of the jeans you'd like to rip with anything that can draw lines. Make sure to aim a little higher than the knee so that it doesn't cause widening of the rip while you're walking around (you know, if your knee gets caught in one of the holes, it'll rip it more). Also don't aim too high so that your UNDERwear stays UNDER and hidden😉.
4) In preparation for the 'slicing' of the Denim, use some sort of abrasive, like sandpaper to thin out the portion of the jeans to be ripped in order to ease the cutting.
5) IT IS TIME 💪!!! Use your pair of scissors to rip your precious jeans but make sure to slot in a piece of wood or something hard beneath the upper layer of the part to be ripped. This is to make sure you don't cut through to the other side of the jeans especially when you're using a sharp blade or knife. And don't over-tear your jeans, nobody likes crappy stuff.
6) Use your fingers to open up the rips a little more to give a more natural look and the fraying edges of the denim piece add a little spice to your work. 😎😎
7) Wear Your Ripped Jeans And Look Fabulous. 😘
