What is being successful to you?
When you talk about being successful you hear things like accomplishing, achieving, fulfilling.
So many come to this world go through the same pattern of life (grow in a happy home, go to good schools and finish with good grades, get a good job after , marry a person of their dreams , have kids and happily ever after) . sincerely do you also imagine those stuffs? Well that's being successful because the dreams and goals were fulfilled, but those dreams are too shallow, I refer to that as MEDIOCRITY .
Mediocrity and the norm: when we talk about mediocrity we use words like commonplaceness, ordinariness, lack of inspiration etcetera.
Life has more to offer than those shallow aspirations . The entire humanity has only been able to use 10% of available human brain power! If Albert Einstein himself used only 7% , you can imagine how many percent of yours you have used. Research says most human who research and make use of their brains make use of 3% in their entire life , what of we that hardly use ours how many percent do we make use of in our entire life time?
The major reason people hardly make use of their brain is LAZINESS .
We don't want to work for our own success everyone wants the easy miracle. We start believing in magic and fairytales .
Also we UNDERESTIMATE ourselves and what we can do, we young ones allow ourselves to be spoonfed by the older ones who probably had the same mistakes in their childhoods , and then we are made to believe that life is not equal and depending on others is the only choice then we all convince ourselves that education is the only option for us and that the essence of education is to follow orders. This is the reason most of us see ourselves working for big organizations. lACk OF EXPOSURE is another reason for mediocrity , we all keep copying each other because we don't have ideas. So many people think the importance of success to making of money and fame and not for the purpose of uniqueness , then you see the successful ones in terms of uniqueness are those that study and go the extra mile in research. We live in the internet age so we have no reason or excuse for lack of exposure but instead now we have CULTURAL STEROTYPING. It's when we adopt a thought to a specific group of people, when you say you can't be a plumber or electrician because its only meant for males and you have the passion.
Also we are scared of letting our loved ones down especially guardians ,so for that reason we do anything to please them, you become a doctor because your dad always calls you a doctor and you don't want to let him down ,at the end you get stalk. You simply allow your destiny be misaligned , no ones fault , the point you started working towards pleasing everyone you loose focus.
-KEY TO EXCELLENCE
Talent is not sucess, you need to develop it and don't let pride get in the way, you need to develop yourself , talent can't do it all . To be excellent you need to do extra , read extra and open your mind more often to think outside the box, this is where inqusitivity comes in ,
To be inquisitive is to have an interest in learning and exploring .it means curiosity, eagerness for knowledge. If Albert Einstein could do it after failing severally why can't you. Attention needs to be paid to creativity and innovation.
And you know what fuels inqusitivity?? PASSION. It is having a strong feeling of like for something , when you love something you'll be curious about it.
To be outstanding you need to be extra inquisitive, to be extra inquisitive you need passion also HARDWORK AND EFFORT. Opportunity and time happens to everyone, no matter how many times you fail keep trying , don't take any opportunity with levity 'coz every opportunity matters. Remember not to let people look down on you because you are fearfully and wonderfully made by God.
Also trust him and walk with him .
Don't ever stop dreaming . keep persevering, don't be discouraged for success is not achieved in a day.
Don't be too much in an hurry because it is not about how fast but how well.
